Special Moisture Content

Our mills have invested heavily in the drying process of sawn goods, the most demanding phase of mechanical wood processing. After the sawing process, all of the timber is placed on laths and kiln dried in modern chamber kilns that stand up to the toughest of demands. These kilns are computer controlled and equipped with moisturising reading devices to ensure an even moisture content is achieved throughout each piece of timber. An individual drying programme of variable duration and process phase can be selected for each dimension dependent on specific needs and requirements

All our Sawmills have the capacity for special kiln drying.  Any of the timber grades produced can be dried to low moisture content for use in Interior Joinery or Furniture manufacture.

Most of the sawmills we represent are also accredited for HT56/30 certified timber, for use in the packaging, pallet making and case making industry.
