Special Lengths

Our sawn joinery stock is held in all standard lengths, in 3DM (300 mm) increments, available in both Packaged-to-Length (one length per pack) and Truck-bundled (random) length formats. This gives us the flexibility, through our large stockholding, to meet every requirement.

In addition we hold sawn Redwood in stock graded specially for the production of door-casings and door-linings. In 4.2m and 5.1m lengths. Every standard dimension in the range 32x100 to 175 mm and 38x100 to 175 mm. Larger cross-sections, and sawn Whitewood sizes, are also available from our terminal stock.

Any of our stock lengths may be cross-cut, either in pack lots or individual pieces to very fine tolerances, to meet the exacting demands of the modern wood-processing industry. A number of our specialist sawmills in Scandinavia have the capability to produce finger-jointed softwood sections, in order to meet the precise length requirements of specific applications, such as door and door-set manufacture.

These may also be quality graded during the production process to the individual demands of our customers, for example to produce sections clear of knots on two, three or four faces, but allowing knots on the reverse
